Magnet Therapy

What is magnet therapy?

Magnet therapy is a form of natural therapy that uses magnets to promote healing. It is used on both acute injuries as well as chronic medical conditions on a regular basis.

How does magnetic therapy work?

Magnetic therapy works by sending electrically charged particles through the skin and into the body. It works similarly to the way that electrotherapy does, but the wavelengths that the magnets send through the skin often have a better effect. This is because the particles are able to travel through the skin, fat, bones, etc. more easily than the particles formed by electricity. Once these charged particles are inside the body, they create electrical currents that dilate the blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow to the affected area of the body. When this happens the body is able to heal itself of injuries or ailments much more easily.

What are the benefits of magnetic therapy?

There are many benefits of magnetic therapy, including increased circulation, decreased inflammation and swelling, and speedier recovery from injuries. There have also been many cases in which magnetic therapy helped a patient’s chronic illness lessen or decrease completely.

What is the history of magnetic therapy?

As early as the third century B.C., many cultures had discovered the healing properties of magnets and shortly thereafter, it was discovered that variations in the earth’s magnetic field had an obvious effect on health and illness.

By the 1700’s, it had been proven through many studies as well as personal experiences, that magnets could heal many ailments and could offer relief from the pain of many illnesses and injuries.
Since that time, many studies have been done to prove the therapeutic properties that magnets offer. Magnet therapy is a widely used form of therapy and has even evolved to the point where patients can purchase magnets to wear at all times (many of these are in the form of bracelets, anklets, insoles for shoes, etc.).

There are many forms of magnets that can be used for many different situations. To benefit from this form of therapy, you can either contact a licensed magnetic therapy practitioner or purchase magnets on your own. The best way to achieve maximum benefits from magnetic therapy, however, is to have a trained professional execute the therapy. Then they can also suggest which type of magnets would be best to use at home, as well as how to use them properly and where to purchase them.
