Zero Balancing Massage Therapy

What is Zero Balancing Massage therapy?

Zero balancing massage therapy is one of the most recently developed methods of bodywork. Similar to many types of Eastern-based therapies, zero balancing massage therapy is focused on bringing the body and the mind back into harmonious balance.

What is the history of Zero Balancing Massage Therapy?

Zero balancing massage therapy has one of the shortest histories of all the forms of massage therapy. It was created in 1975 by Dr. Frederick Smith who, before developing this new technique of healing, studied many different forms of therapies and bodywork, including yoga and more.

Although it hasn’t been around for long, Zero Balancing massage therapy is steadily becoming a more widely practiced form of bodywork.

What are the benefits of Zero Balancing Massage Therapy?

Just as with many other forms of bodywork, Zero balancing massage therapy can provide immediate benefits as well as more long-term effects. Zero balancing can help with general stress relief, it can help jump-start the body’s own healing process for illnesses, and it can provide self-actualization.

What happens during a Zero Balancing session?

Zero balancing massage therapy is another therapy that does not require getting undressed. Instead, the patient will wear loose-fitting clothing while the Zero Balancing practitioner does their work for about 30 minutes.

Zero Balancing is a little different than most other forms of massage therapies (even those that focus on energy through the body) because the patient starts in a sitting position for the therapy session. The patient may then need to move to a reclined position, but this will depend strictly on what the practitioner determines is needed for the patient.

The practitioner of Zero Balancing massage therapy will use his hands to balance the energy of the patient, creating a relaxed and balanced feeling. It is recommended that, for optimal benefit, the patient have at least three sessions of Zero Balancing but how many, and how often, a patient receives it is ultimately up to them.

Whether you are just generally stressed or you feel that your body needs balancing, schedule your appointment for a Zero Balancing session today.
